By accessing or using DeeperMemo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Description of service
DeeperMemo is a language learning platform that provides article-based reading, contextual search, spaced review, and related learning tools across multiple subsites. The service is available in free and VIP (paid) tiers with different feature limits.
Account registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
Acceptable use
You may use DeeperMemo for personal, non-commercial language learning. You agree not to: share your account credentials; use automated tools to scrape or download content; attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems; interfere with the service for other users; or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
All content on DeeperMemo, including articles, explanations, audio, software, and design, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission. Your learning data (marked words, search history, reading records) belongs to you.
Subscriptions and payments
VIP subscriptions provide access to premium features while the subscription is active. Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. You are responsible for all fees and taxes associated with your subscription. Prices may change with at least 30 days advance notice before the next billing cycle.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your VIP subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. After cancellation, you will retain access to VIP features until the paid period expires.
Billing grace period
If a subscription renewal payment fails, we may continue to provide paid features for a brief period to allow you to update your payment information. If the payment issue is not resolved within this grace period, access to paid features will be suspended until payment is successfully processed.
Service availability
We strive to keep DeeperMemo available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.
Service changes
We may update, add, remove, or limit features to keep the product reliable, secure, and economically sustainable. When changes materially affect paid features, we will provide reasonable advance notice where practicable.
Limitation of liability
DeeperMemo is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, learning progress, or revenue arising from your use of the service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in activity that harms the service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. You may request export of your learning data within 30 days of termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable laws without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or the service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if that fails, through the appropriate legal channels.
